The Private Coast
A shoreline of your own, minutes from Acadia
Why stay in a hotel room when you can have your own private piece of Maine paradise? I actually enjoyed the scenic drive and was happy at the end of each day to leave any crowds behind.
We came for Acadia with our three young kids, but parts of the park were super busy. It felt so nice to come back here after a day out — this little private haven for them to explore. Sitting around a fire at dusk watching the sunset over the water was pretty incredible.
A place to completely melt into peace and feel at home. Gorgeous backyard stretching out to a private beach area where stunning sunsets drop in front of you. I couldn't believe how beautiful the setting was.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas, but close enough that you never feel like you're driving a long time. We enjoyed the warmth of the fire pit while roasting marshmallows and watching beautiful sunsets over the water.
Great location, private, just as advertised.
Very quiet and secluded, decorated very nicely and clean. About a 25-minute drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia — a short, easy trip to all the nearby amenities. We loved it!
If I could give this property more than 5 stars, I would!
“I've stayed in Maine before and all over the world, and this was a top-three location for me and our entire group.”

Wildlife & Water
Named for the eagle overhead — and the life along the shore
Within minutes of arriving, an eagle flew over the yard — the property is well named! The cottage is absolutely adorable, from the decor inside to the stunning backyard and private beach access.
We especially loved that we saw seals every day almost right in the backyard, and an eagle one day. The location, the views, the space — everything was perfect.
The kids LOVED playing on the beach, and they saw crabs and seals. They also thought the high tide and low tide was the coolest thing.
Great house for a family with young kids. Loved being on the water so kids could play on the shore. Very clean house with all the amenities.
Abundant wildlife — we got to see the seals on the beach, the birds fishing, and a deer also paid a visit. Private, with lots to do while relaxing.
We enjoyed viewing eagles fly by and seals swim past from the private beach — just a few stairs from the cottage. A perfect ending to each day as the sun set.
Being right on the ocean, we could walk across the large yard and take in the beautiful Maine coast. Our four kids thoroughly enjoyed the bunk room, and it was an easy hop to Bar Harbor and Acadia.

“Everything seemed thoughtfully curated. We loved the privacy, but also the closeness to Acadia — and we witnessed the most beautiful sunsets.”

Thoughtful to the Detail
A home stocked and cared for like our own
Thoughtful touches (grocery bags, coffee bar with to-go cups). Loved the lawn and fire pit with direct access to the beach — great for kids!
We had the best time staying at the Eagle's Nest over the Thanksgiving week! The amenities at the house were so great, especially all of the kitchen stuff. The beds were extremely comfortable, and everything seemed thoughtfully curated. We loved the privacy, but also the closeness to Acadia. We also got to witness the most beautiful sunsets. Overall, this was a top tier Airbnb! We are so thankful for the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful home!
You won't find better. The house has everything you could want — extra toothbrushes, a coffee bar, dishwasher detergent. Super clean, comfy, and in a beautifully serene area on the water.
I appreciated the Q&A guide and the great local travel book that helped me refine my trip, plus the complimentary local jam and the generous coffee and tea bar. Everything so well thought out.
Our four kiddos thoroughly enjoyed the bunk room. The house was exceptionally clean and well organized, and the kitchen had everything we needed — and then some. An easy hop to Bar Harbor and Acadia.
Better than the pictures. Fully stocked with everything you would want for a vacation stay. Beautiful home and surroundings — doesn't get much better than this.

Room for Everyone
Built for the big group — with space to gather and space to breathe
There was just the right amount of space for 12 people to have privacy when needed, but it also felt so cozy. The kids and big kids loved exploring the forest outside and playing games in the basement. We will definitely be back.
It worked well for our three-generation family, with multiple areas to gather. The setting is stunning, and the home is spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated. We recommend this rental without hesitation.
Three couples and five older teenage boys stayed here — the layout and bedroom situation was perfect. Four boys stayed in the upstairs room with four twin beds and the fifth in the adjoining room. I'm already coming up with reasons to return!
The layout was perfect for our large group, the views were stunning, and there were lots of thoughtful touches — from robes to a dart board! One of the best experiences I've ever had.
Great place to stay for a large family. Kids loved the space — plenty of toys and room for everyone.
Grandma's Marathon weekend was made extra special by having this beautiful home to retreat to. It fit our large group perfectly and had everything we needed. An overall fabulous experience!
“We've stayed in several houses in the area over the years, and this is definitely one of our favorites — great views and location.”

The North Shore, Four Seasons
Minutes from Lutsen — and made for every season
We went skiing at Lutsen, and this was the perfect home to stay at — beautiful, spacious, clean, and only five minutes from the resort. Our family had a great time.
We had 12 people for a long weekend ski trip and felt there was plenty of space. Beautiful home with beautiful views, very close to Lutsen.
Very spacious, great views, and close to the Sugarbush cross-country trails we enjoy every winter. Ample room at the entry for unloading gear, and communal spaces with lots of room to spread out. We'd go back!
The lodge was a perfect space for a North Shore weekend. So much for kids to play, spacious bedrooms, a kitchen with everything you'd need, and the fire pit was a hit. The perfect spot to experience autumn in Minnesota.
Convenient for skiing, nature walks, and the North Shore Winery. The space was perfect for our group of 12, and the views of Lake Superior were stunning. We only wish we could have had more time!
Two families, five adults and six children, and we had plenty of space. Huge ceilings, sunrise over Lake Superior from the top deck, a cozy living room with a fireplace, star gazing and s'mores around the fire. Everyone loved this place.

“You feel as if you are entering a good friend's home — warm, inviting, and beautiful. Natural light floods every area, surrounded by trees and lovely views of Lake Superior.”

Thoughtful to the Detail
A lodge stocked and finished like nowhere else
I've stayed at several Airbnbs and most lack decent kitchen basics. This kitchen was fully stocked with nice cookware, dishes, even kids' plates and cups, seasonings and oils, and coffee. Games, activities, comfortable beds — I would recommend this house 1000/10.
All the thoughtful details — from the antler chandelier to the agate fireplace hearth, the big bathtub with a picture window into the forest, sound machines, and super comfortable mattresses. Everything we needed and wanted.
Thoughtful small touches made it seem more luxurious than a typical rental — branded coffee mugs, pens, blankets. Huge windows, a game room downstairs, s'mores around the gas fireplace, and sunrise over Lake Superior from the top deck.
The kitchen was very impressive with everything you need already in it. No need to pack cookware. Our group was very happy.
The darling Nordhus coffee mugs were so fun to enjoy, and the bedrooms were all decorated beautifully — the three of us were checking tags to buy similar bedding for home! The owners have thought of everything.
Beautifully maintained and matched the listing description accurately. All essential amenities thoughtfully provided, contributing to a comfortable and seamless experience. I would gladly return.
