Stilla Private Homes: Our Approach to Curated Stays

Stilla is a curated collection of luxury vacation homes in places worth slowing down for. The word that matters most there is curated. We are not a listing site or a management company with a thousand addresses. We add homes deliberately — and only ones we would want to stay in ourselves.

Place comes first

Every home in the collection begins with its setting. Nordhus Lodge sits on eight wooded acres above Lake Superior on Minnesota's North Shore. Eagles Nest holds two quiet coastal acres at the gateway to Acadia National Park. Different landscapes, same idea: a strong sense of place you can feel the moment you arrive.

Homes that fit how people actually travel

We choose homes that work for real trips — families under one roof, multi-generational reunions, ski weekends, coastal escapes, and the occasional remote-work stretch. That means room to gather and room to retreat, kitchens built for group dinners, and the amenities that make a longer stay comfortable.

Professionally managed, personally cared for

"Professionally managed" should mean something concrete: responsive communication, accurate house information, a proper digital guidebook, and a team that knows each home. It should never mean impersonal. The parent brand exists to make the portfolio trustworthy — not to flatten what makes each property distinct.

We keep the property brands primary

Nordhus Lodge and Eagles Nest each have their own identity and their own website, and that's on purpose. Stilla is the layer above — the collection that vouches for them, connects them, and makes it easy to book direct. You always stay at the home; Stilla is simply how you find and trust it.

Built to grow, carefully

The collection is designed to expand without losing what makes it feel curated. The next destination is still being chosen. When we add a home, it will be because the place and the property both earned it.
